Image recognition is a pattern recognition technology that extracts features from images and identifies objects. Specifically, it is the use of a computer to identify the state of an object reflected in an image for authentication or inspection: in addition to reading 2D codes, other types of image recognition include face recognition to identify people by their faces, and optical character recognition (OCR) to identify numbers and letters. Biometric identification (biometrics) also uses image recognition in a technical sense in many cases.

Determines whether parts are correctly attached or assembled, and identifies acceptable or defective products or components.
Quantity Inspection
Enables fast and accurate counting of large quantities of products or materials. Counting by color or shape is also supported.
Sequence Inspection (Shape/Color Detection)
Determines whether the required products are arranged correctly based on shape or color—for example, in assortment or packaging checks.
Position (Coordinate) Detection
Detects the position of a target and outputs its coordinates. Enables semi-automated setup of position correction, such as for printed circuit boards.
