What is ESD?
ESD is the abbreviation for electrostatic discharge, a phenomenon that occurs when electrically charged conductive objects, such as the human body or plastics, come into contact or proximity with conductive objects, such as electronic components and electronic equipment, causing serious problems such as malfunction and damage to electrical equipment. This can cause serious problems such as malfunction or damage to electrical equipment. In recent years, the electronic component industry has increasingly miniaturised component structures to achieve higher speeds and power savings in electronic devices. As a result, ESD resistance has become even lower than in the past and the frequency of damage caused by static electricity is increasing.

The IC tag attached to the bogie is read to indicate the destination to the AGV. Fixed reader/writers (gate antennas) installed between the zones read the IC tags and record the results. The recorded data can be viewed on a management PC.
Why choose MTS Anti-ESD Scanners?
Many anti-ESD products take anti-static measures by adding highly conductive carbon during the moulding process. However, when this countermeasure is incorporated into a barcode scanner, the complexity of the structure makes it impossible to form a uniform blend with the base ABS material, and it is not possible to maintain a uniform surface resistance value throughout the product. Our ESD scanners use a carbon-free, low ionic contamination, low outgassing material that incorporates new technology.
